General Information
Golan Sion Creek Red was produced from Sangiovese, Syrah, Gamay Noir, Pinot Noir and Napa Gamay grapes grown entirely in the Golan Heights. The cool climate, rocky volcanic soil and high altitude are ideal conditions for growing classic wine grape varieties. The result is a light red wine enjoyable young, yet capable of aging over the next few years. To preserve the quality of the wine, this bottle should be sotred on its side in a cool, dark place. Best served at 55 - 60°F

Golan Sion Creek Red is a deep raspberry colored mild, light, red varietal blend. It does not, at this stage, exhibit complexity yet is an adequate table wine.

I didn't expect much aside from a cheap blend of whatever Golan had left over that they couldn't make varietal wines out of. Turns out this is a nice light red with an intriguing color, nose, and light mouthfeel. Not meant to be complex in any way, but worth a try, especially if you're not a fan of fuller, more challenging reds.

Surprisingly smooth. Light fruity bouquet. Subtle berry taste. Works well with a variety of food choices.
