General Information
#9 KosherWine.com's Top 10 of 2008
The dark purple Yarden Syrah shows off a rich and complex array of characters including ripe cherries and wild berries, layered with notes of earth, chocolate and hints of anise. A background of attractive oak adds to the wine's full body and high concentration of flavor. Yarden Syrah will continue to improve with bottle age and should remain in good condition for up to a decade. We most enjoy Yarden Syrah with intensely flavored foods, such as roast goose or a rich lamb stew. We also like it along with a decadent dark chocolate cake.

Great wine! Syrah is usually my favorite, Yarden never disappoints. Fruity, blackberry overtones, got better as the bottle breathed. Next time i will decant it so I can try it sooner. Served with steak, highly seasoned, terrific combination. Will order again.

2002 was not an age worthy vintage for this wine and it is past its peak (but certainly still drinkable). 2003 on the other hands is drinking beautifully now and is highly recommended!

Nice, ripe, sweet fruit. Good concentration. Full bodied. Drinks well now, but has the structure to age. Great fruit. Very enjoyable wine.

This is a rich, dark wine. It is somewhat spicy and not fruity, and is quite high in tannins. The finish is delicious and will stay on your palate for hours.

Supple, with fresh and appealing sweet berry and vanilla flavors as well as peach pits, spring flowers and light earthiness. Look for a hint of tar on the moderately long finish.

This is a dark wine. Aromas of ripe raspberry, oak, and milk chocolate abound, with a rich fruit, graphite, and mild pepper flavors on the palate. This is a tannic wine that can age for years to come.
