General Information
Among the enchanting secrets that often escape aficionados of Cabernet Sauvignon are the youthful nuances of character that are displayed during the wine's infancy. These characteristics include a beautiful purple color, a soft texture, a perceived sweetness on one's palate, with fresh berry, cherry and floral aromas. In an effort to produce the Jeunesse, a wine that exhibits this exceptional character, ripe grapes were cold fermented in exclusively stainless steel tanks. Hence, you will enjoy a wine that is pointedly "jeunesse" - which is French for youthful, flavorful and fun. You can enjoy it slightly chilled or at room temperature.

Winemaker's Note
A Mevushal semi-sweet, red, containing long-lingering flavors of fresh strawberries and raspberries giving it an invigorating character and an fragrant berry aroma.
Especially recommended with Full-flavored beef, grilled chicken or cheeses.

The vintage date seems surprising for a Cabernet Sauvignon, but the light-hearted name tells all. Fermentation and rearing happened in steel. The large-scale Baron Herzog Wine Cellars in Oxnard, California, which opened in 2005, suggests that it be drunk within four years. Four minutes is more like it, because, bouncy, straightforward and somewhat sweet, it is a marginally serious breakaway from Manishewitzism.

I have experienced both the 2007 and 2008 vintage. This is the perfect red wine for anybody who does not appreciate a fine dry red wine. It is light and fruity with a tendency to leave a sweet finish. good for a light meal. A great wine to bring to dinner or as a gift when visiting as it goes with everything except a heavy brisket. Hope they continue to produce this wine.

The wine was delicious. I'm used to having dry red wines. In particular I like the blends (Cabernet/Merlot), but this wine was the best semi-sweet wine I've had in a very long time.

Well, you have to like 'em sweet to like this wine. It is a pleasant, semi-dry (leaning to sweet) quaffer.

baron herzog does not know what it has on its hands. they should market this wine better. it is a very interesting wine. it initially tastes more like a dry cab but transitions into a sweet finishes. and the texture is silky smooth. the fruit is there and it's pure. if you have not tried this wine yet, buy a bottle because it's rare to find a young pseudo cab like this.

I have seen this one pop up recently a number of shabbos tables. It is an approachable red for light wine drinkers, but for serious red drinkers it is far too sweet. An appropriate dessert wine, but nothing that should be served with a meal.

Way too sweet for my taste, but would make a great kidush wine.I couldn't finish my cup at Sabbath Dinner when they served this wine.

This wine inspires only two emotions from its tasters - love and hate. I myself am in the latter category, but as evident from the scores this wine receives from many consumers, it enjoys a large fan base.
This wine has overt vanilla, sweet fruit, lingering blackberries, and bright sweet strawberries on the palate. The sweetness is overpowering and off- putting. This is the Kiddush wine for the modern wine drinker.

This red wine is not as dry as most red wine but not as sweet as white wine. This is my favorite wine!

I have had several red wines. I am not a connoiseur but enjoy good wine. This by far has been the best red wine--not too dry--and not too sweet.

Nice, young, easy drinking wine. Good gateway to reds. Interesting to try even for more seasoned drinkers as a look into what semi-dry cabernet is like with more residual sugar.

A good entry level wine. Perfect for those interested in developing a taste for dry wines. Can also be enjoyed by those who prefer dry wines with more a fruity aroma.

Reminiscent of the Rashi Claret or even the Herzog Valflore, this is a somewhat heavy, somewhat sweet, robust & hearty wine that doesn't lean very heavily in any of the above categories. In other words, it's a dark, shtarke wine that teeters precariously close to a Concord or Malaga without ever falling into the identification with either designation. There is great flavor in addition to the sweetness, and it's the flavor rather than the sweetness that lasts on the palate long after kiddush is over. This is a nice quality wine for a change of pace in solid red wines.

I found this wine to be one of my favorite, from the first time I tasted it. I looked Hi and Low in my neighborhood, and could not find it; so I went online and found it at Kosher Wine.com and ordered my case. My friends love it also.

I ordered this one with great expectations. I wasn't disappointed. Flowery aromas lead into pleasantly dry grapey flavors. It actually tasted like a mouthful of firm grapes. Finishes at the last moment with a surprising touch of sweetness. "Semi-sweet" is really a misnomer. "Semi-Dry" is a better description. Several of my tasters at the Shabbos table were reaching for the bottle to see what this was. A few felt like it could benefit from breathing for a while before drinking. Baron Herzog has a winner here. I'll be ordering this one again and often.
