General Information
Produced from Gewurztraminer grapes grown in the Sha'al vineyard at an elevation of 750 meters, the juice was slow fermented at a low temperature in Carmel's boutique winery in Zichron Yaacov. This wine has a fruit and flower aroma with a lively flavor of citrus fruits. Can be cellared for several years.
Kosher For Passover

Winemaker's Note

Medium bodied with generous sweetness set off nicely by good balancing acidity and on the nose and palate apricot, cinnamon, rose petal and honeyed flavors. Rich, spicy and elegant, from the Upper Galilee, with a long silky finish.Drink now until 2009. Serve with wickedly rich and creamy desserts.

Very nice gewurztraminer. Sweet, but not syrupy. Not like others I've tried that are so sweet the fruity flavors are lost. Great for dessert. We served it with a sweeter orange chicken recipe. First day was great. Doesn't keep as well for a second day.

Medium- to full-bodied, with generous sweetness set off by fine balancing acidity. On the nose generous litchis, those complemented nicely by summer fruits, and a hint of rosewater.

Very exotic pineapple and nectarine flavors with a great amount of Gewurz spiciness. Well balanced sugar and acidity. I would be interested in seeing what this tastes like in 5-8 years. This is a great Israeli desert wine; don't get caught without an extra bottle.

This is a very nice dessert wine, concentrated and sweet. It has complex flavors, with apricots right upfront. I would not recommend it for the meal, but rather to be served with dessert. A very well-made bottle of wine.

We like Gewurztraminer wines and this was one of our favorites. Excellent spicy taste and aroma and on the sweet side. Better if slightly chilled. The bottle went fast.
