General Information
92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot. This exceptional red, matured 18 months in new French oak, is produced from a selection of the harvest's finest quality cabernet sauvignon grapes. A percentage of top merlot grapes contributes further complexity. Captivating aromas of black fruit, sage, chocolate, eucalyptus and clove build into an opulent palate of ripe berries, spice and lush, velvety tannins.

Deep, dark and spicy, this wine even earned a "not bad" rating from my fiance who is exceptionally critical of and bias against kosher wines.

A very nice wine. Not a superb one, but on the whole very nice. I would score the Yarden 2002 Cab a 92 and this one an 89. Nice earthy fruitiness balanced with tannins and oak.

I was all wrong about this wine; after having been open for 3 hours it still was not showing more than under ripe fruit and heavy oak tones. The following morning did not yield better results. It was only 22 hours later - almost a full day - that this wine showed fantastic lush raspberry, cranberry, and menthol aromas with an amazing velvety texture on the palate. This decanting time is a proof to the wine's need to age for another 3-5 years before it shows off it's true potential. A screaming value!!

This wine has it all. Rich, deep, powerful, yet smooth. IMHO, this is the best to come out of Recanati to date, and is easily on par with the best Israeli high-end wines.

A great bottle of wine! Nice nose, a beautiful, deep color, well integrated tannins and fruit, all followed by a very long finish. The Cabernet Sauvignon and the Merlot work very well together. Overall, one of the better "flagship" wines coming out of Israel today, priced very reasonably as compared to, say, Carmel Limited or the Castel Grand Vin. Highly recommended.

Wonderful wine. Superbly complex flavors. Hints of anice, ground black pepper, caramel, apple and blackberry. Excellent for surprising guests!
