General Information
This Portuguese red wine is made from the traditional grapes of the Douro Valley: Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Touriga Franca. After fermentation the wine was aged for 10 months in oak barrels. The wine has been made to preserve the natural flavors of the grapes, producing an aromatic wine with well integrated oaking.

Winemaker's Note

From the reputable Douro Valley 40-year old vineyards in Portugal comes this dark ruby wine with balsamic hints in its bouquet. Strong tannins declare balanced by fresh fruit and woody notes. Complexity will further develop in the cellar but the wine already has a notably elegant finish. This wine has great character. Best with meat and poultry.

Brilliant clear deep ruby and rather aromatic, Casa da Corca Douro is actually quite different. With an initial near frizzante tingle, it is nonetheless a mild and well balanced wine, unique and unusual in character.

Very frargant, fruity, almost black when first poured into a glass, mellow on the first attack, but with a surprising tannic bite on the finish. Unusual blend of varietals for a table red (the standard Port blend). Enjoyable and highly recommended.
