General Information
Rich and powerful fruit of very old indigenous Garnacha bush vines coupled with the structure of black, muscular Carinena and deeply concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon makes this an amazingly full-bodied and unique wine. On poor, stony terroir high up in the mountains, the vines give low yields but immense concentration. Aging for one year in new French oak barrels adds some spicy, toasty flavors to its full-bodied dark fruit character.

Certainly "muscular" but perhaps a bit too heavy. Certainly a good wine but I have enjoyed less expensive wines much more.

If one wants to know what happens to these wines with age, this is a good, albeit very expensive, introduction. The wine is profound. It is starting to show great complexity. It still has a large amount of tannins and acidity and has not hit its plateau yet. I would guess that with a proper cellar, that this wine would easily last 15-20 years. This shows how impressive this wine can be with some age. 2/13/09.

Delicious! Best kosher red wine I've had and an excellent wine by any standard. A stand out at an oenephile kosher Thanksgiving. Intense and fruit-forward but not harsh or too dry. Highly recommended.

After tasting this and the younger Petita, I am not so sure there is a point in spending the extra money. While it is a very nice medium-full bodied wine, it is not overwhelmingly more pleasant then the "Petita"

This is a seriously muscular wine, full, deep, and with a lingering taste. Only a heavy meal, beef or lamb, will show this wine at it's best.

A serious wine, deep and brooding, with dark, almost inky color, interesting fruit notes, and a nice long finish. Aslo, a very interesting alternative to Cabernets. Recommended.

What an incredible wine! Earthy fruits balanced nicely with oak and soft tannins. Enjoy this wine with a rich meat meal.
