General Information
Leonardo Recanati, whose Italian heritage lies at the source of his passion for exceptional winemaking, is proud to present this fine Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. A modern classic, this multifaceted red was produced from hand-harvested grapes grown in the cool climate slopes of Israel's northern Galilee region. Aromas of ripe black cherry, lavender, cloves and cigar box are succeeded by mineral notes in the finish. Aged 15 months in French, this fine red has the capacity to age for a decade or more. Savor with grilled meats, roasts and hearty pasta dishes. Superb with hard aged cheeses.

Two approaches from newbies: Me, I thought it was very nice with complex and involved flavors. My wife didn't like it so much :)

Had this with a friend in November 2008 after decanting for about 1-2 hours. I think that it could do with another 6-18 months in the cellar, but is drinking very well now. Soft wood with black and red fruits. A very nice wine.

A very good wine, tending towards the full-bodied style of the special reserve.
Decant this wine for about half an hour to allow it to open up.

Excellent wine, deep, brooding, well integrated, with a nice, long finish. Highly recommended, and, as is usual with Recanati, an very good value.

Excelent as most Recanatis are. The price is also pretty decent as far as most Israeli wines of this caliber sell for. I have seen this wine sell for similar prices in non-kosher stores. That's how you know it's a good wine.

This wonderfully textured, medium to full bodied, purplish hued wine is delicious and absorbing. This well balanced wine has a firm, nuanced structure of acidity, oak, and softened tannins, all of which serves as a backdrop for a pleasing parade of aromas and flavors of black cherries, red cherries, currants, black berries, toasted walnuts, truffles, mocha, light spice notes, minerals, and an appealing earthy quality. Allow the wine a little time to breath. Drink now or in the next year or so, after that the wine will probably begin to show its age.

An outstanding wine. Delicious layers of berries, some spice, chocolate and coffee. The wine has a medium body, a great balance of fruit and soft tannins.
