General Information
One of the most well known and appreciated Italian wines, this Chianti has a bright ruby red color with cherry and chocolate on the nose. Intensely fruity and velvety, yet round with soft tannins, and a complex finish.
Kosher For Passover

Winemaker's Note
From the sunny hills of Tuscanny, this is a fantastic version of Italy’s most famous wine. Made with the best selection of Sangiovese, the grapes are picked by hand before the crush. After a cold stabilization the wine is aged for 6 months in wood barrels before filtering and bottling.
The wine has a brilliant ruby red color, with garnet
shades. The bouquet reveals a clean floral aroma with oak and fruit tones well integrated with notes of vanilla and spices. On the palate the wine displays a very rich feel with a lovely lingering finish. The overall effect is one of a wine in perfect harmony.

A good dry red wine. I wasn't head over heels for it as some other reviewers have been, but it's certainly a solid buy.

A shocker. This is the first kosher red wine that I've actually enjoyed and could see drinking for any occasion. Especially considering since its mevushal.
Medium bodied, beautiful color. The aroma was a little light, and perhaps not the full expression of Sangiovese, but an aroma of dark fruit and licorice. Soft, yet expressive, tannins with a smooth taste that you can drink on its own, but went well with my pasta and red sauce.
At $14 a bottle, 13% alcohol, and kosher for Passover, this is an obvious choice for March 29. 89 points, but 90 points for its price point

I must start by stating that this wine needs air like Frankenstein needs a new marketing agent! It was the second worst bottle of the night, but I truly felt all it needed was air. Sure enough 24 HOURS later, it was really yummy and tasty. The wine had opened and now the ruby colored wine has a nose filled with cherry, raspberry, and cranberry, along with a nice dollop of chocolate. The mouth of this medium bodied wine follows the nose with more of the same fruit, in a soft mouth that you feel throughout. The mid palate is still bright with acidity, and the finish is long with more bright fruit and chocolate. A really nice showing, just needs a TON of air or time.

This wine is truly decadent and is a pleasantly heavy Italian wine. It goes well with a piece of red meat or if your just relaxing a piece of dark chocalate would with this wine will make you feel sinfull.

AMAZING!!! I first had this wine on Pesach and I was shocked! This is an amazing wine. everything is just perfect. The only problem is, that its mevushal(not really a problem). I would recommend this wine for anyone.

A nice effort form Borgo Reale. This Chianti is medium-bodied, has a nice dark color, and generous fruit. It is well balanced, and makes for a good table wine that is easy to match with food. Also, a good value for the money.

This was an extraordinarily welcome surprise. Everything about this wine was well done - from the unique aesthetics of the bottle to the deep aroma to the full body to the lingering chocolate flavor backed by a fruity chaser. Not only was this enjoyable for all those reasons, but the bottle I received had the sealing wax missing, and the cork was dried out...yet it STILL didn't diminish the enjoyable factors of this wine. I could tell it was adversely affected, but there was enough positive value to this wine to well overcompensate for whatever it lacked due to being compromised. Buy it quickly when it's restocked.

This is by far the best kosher chianti I have ever had. It has a soft full body not usually found in chiantis and is appropriate for meals more varied than pizza, spaghetti or lasagna. It would definitely compliment veal and chicken dishes. The price is very reasonable particularly considering the high quality of the wine
