General Information
Founded by the Alfasi family in the heart of an enchanting and secluded oak forest at 1100 meters above sea level in the northern Golan Heights, Odem Mountain Winery is Israel's northernmost winemaker.
The grapes used in crafting the Volcanic Cabernet Sauvignon are grown at the Kerem Ben Zimra Vineyard in the Galilee Mountains, where the climate is optimal for growing exquisite fruit - cold in winter, and in summer, sunny days with moderate temperatures give way to cool misty nights. The wine itself is aged in fine French oak barrels for 12 months, a process resulting in a deep ruby colored wine. Full-bodied with firm tannins, flavors once released are of blackberries, blueberries, vanilla, and mint, leaving a long, bold finish.
