General Information
Hagafen Sauvignon Blanc is produced from a well-established vineyard in the Eastern foothills of the Napa Valley, where the hot days and cool nights are ideal for creating crisp, clean, long-finishing, food-friendly wine. On the nose, Hagafen's highly aromatic Sauvignon Blanc shows lemon, grape fruit, and kiwi. This crisp, bracing, mouth-watering wine fills the palate with a well integrated mix of bright fruit, including lemon drops, limes, grapefruit, and citrus zest, with just a hint of tingly liveliness. Balanced and with solid structure, the 2008 Sauvignon Blanc works well with a variety of fish and lighter, roasted game dishes.

Light golden color, full fruit aroma, dry, zesty, invigorating, with a near frizzante tingle, exhibiting kiwi and citrus flavors, with an ample, lingering finish.

Crisp, refreshing, and pairs well with lighter foods.

Wow. Just wow. NZ Sauv Blanc is typically about the gooseberries/citrus/grass -- which can be very nice, and great quality for the price, but it's basically one-dimensional, although a very nice dimension. On the other hand, the Hagafen SB has all that NZ has to offer and more. Really nice acidity, a bit of frissante. Not just limes, but white grapefruit, hints of tangerine, peach, and apricot. Really an impressive bottle of SB at any price point and a steal at $18. My favorite white wine to date. (N.B. -- Sauv Blanc doesn't age particularly well, so the '05 may be past it's drinking window at this point)

This is an excellent bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, one of the better kosher Sauvignon Blancs out there. Very refreshing, unabashedly New World, highly enjoyable, especially in the summer, and very much recommended.

Surprised that it held up this long. Very standard CA sauv blanc flavors, and it lacks the clean crispness of the southern hemisphere wines. No added complexity over time. Still very good, but would have been better a year ago.

This is our favorite Sauignon Blanc. The wine has a distinctive buttery texture which is hard to miss, and makes it unusually smooth. We loved it with our poultry and fish dishes.

A rather well crafted Sauvignon Blanc, this light golden color Napa Valley wine has a rich fruity bouquet, and a buttery flavor of apples, honey, pears, lemons and straw. This wine should be drunk young, and unfortunately the 2000 vintage is starting to get a bit tired. Drink now.

This vivacious, light to medium bodied, straw colored wine offers flavors and aromas of green apple, melon, lemon grass, cilantro, lemon, juniper berry, and even a hint of kiwi. With a nice almond flavored finish, this wine is delicious and meant to be drunk young. It should pair nicely with most fish and delicate poultry dishes. Drink now.
