General Information
Smith Haut Lafitte a great growth, and a charming place known worldwide, is perpetuating a tradition of know-how. The richness of the soil and meticulous care given to the vineyard has made this estate one of the best wines in the Bordeaux region. This vintage with an inky purple-color offers wonderfully complex aromas of black currants and a hint of toasted notes. Thick and rich it has a long concentrated finish with high but sweet tannins.

Vintage 2002
A good example of a Bordeaux Grand Cru, although this was not a great year for Bordeaux. Different vintages from the same Chateau should be much better.

Vintage 2002
This is one of the few where the taste clearly explains the price ! Rich, fullbodied, smooth, yet easy to drink with any beef dish, or substantial meal. This is one that can make a great cholent even greater, and is sure to do wonders when accompanying a steak.
