The winery's description is right: chewy, viscous, etc. The wine is heavily extracted and very powerful even after 3 hours in the decanter. An overnight experiment proved what I initially thought: this wine has tons of oak, and no matter how long you wait, it's not going anywhere. Biggest flaw in my opinion.

This wine is a classic. Don't waste it on anything less than a very good meal- delmonico steak, lamb chops, prime rib...

Had this wine at a tasting at Diwine in Baltimore. What a wine! Fruit is front and center with well integrated tannins. This wine definitely needs to be cellared to let it develop. I'm no expert as to how long, but my guess would be to refrain from drinking it until 2010 at the earliest.

An excellent California Cab, good structure, well-integrated tannins, nice finish, generous fruit. Being Mevushal, the best kosher wine to be had in kosher restaurants in the US.

Medium- to full-bodied, a seductive wine with generous vanilla and espresso coffee that comes through a rich core of currant, blackberry and black cherry fruits. Generous tannins in fine balance with wood and fruits.

This wine should be stored for 5-7 years afer bottling before openning for the tannins to settle. Openning it now will not give you the full flavor potential of the wine.

wonderful structure, tightly wound fruit and just a hint of oak. This is a BIG cab!

Magnificent smooth rich wine. Deep color and rich aroma. Deep berry flavor more subtle than either the new Napa or the Alexander valley.
