General Information
Ripe strawberries are evident at first smell, followed by roasted licorice, and finally a touch of cocoa in this stunning effort. This medium-bodied wine has a soft velvet structure and finishes with a warm roasted coffee note. Blending the fine yields of two vineyards in the southern Napa Valley, this wine reflects a passion for crafting truly high-quality Pinot Noir.

This wine was very good. People were fighting to get to this bottle. Even some of my guests that normally drink sweeter wines liked it very much. The authentic Pinot Noir character was very pronounced, unlike some wineries that produce a Pinot Noir just to have one in their portfolio. I tasted a little bramble, forest floor and a little tart cherry, but not too tart. I would recommend this wine to anyone.

A smooth pinot with nice berry and vanilla aromas. Especially good for a mevushal wine.

More tannic and full-bodied than earlier Pinot Noir releases from this winery. Earthy blackberry and plum fruits, those yielding to blueberries and finally to a near-exotic mushroom note.

Is it possible to have a lighter wine with a full body taste? Yes it is. The Hagafen Pinot Noir has it. The flavor is fruity. Overall, an enjoyable wine.

This Pinot is, in my opinion, overrated. The flavor was acidic and even somewhat sour.

Made of 100% Pinot Noir grapes from old vines high in the Napa Hills, this bright, medium bodied, garnet colored wine exhibits a well crafted floral character with an elegant, velvety structure. The wine offers generous aromas and flavors of juicy fruits (lively cherry and fresh strawberries, plum), and chocolate, with a hint of toasty oak, a warm roast coffee finish, and lingering spicy notes. The wine is excellent and well balanced. Serve at room temperature or very slightly chilled. This Pinot Noir is incredibly versatile and food friendly. Although delicious now, the wine will improve with another year of age.
