Deep purplish-garnet, abundant aroma, medium to full bodied, smooth, well balanced, spicy/peppery, with a hint of currants and a long, pleasantly piquant finish.

Another great wine from Galil Mountain. Smooth, dry, full of character, deep garnet color, lovely aroma, cherry, spice, and anise hints, with a hot, dry, lingering finish. Exceptionally good within its niche.

Quite a nice and easy drinking medium bodied wine. It has light, fruity taste that is also smooth to the palette. It will go well with baked chicken, turkey, or salmon as well as vegetarian fare. Excellent at this price. I recommend drinking within 1-3 years.

Soft and smooth, with a light taste. A but disappointing.

A very nice wine. Similar in style to some of the Yardens. Though not as good, it is also quite a bit less expensive. Generous oak and tannins, pretty well balanced with a fruity earthiness.

Consistently one of the best young kosher cabs on the market. Great value. Fruity with a nice body and nice finish. Great buy.

Tasted a few bottles of this wine purchased on the sale, and found it great value for the price. This wine still has body, with a medium finish, some olive undertones. Good with most meat dishes

This is a beautiful bottle of wine. It has a deep garnet color, nice nose, well-integarted tannins, and good fruit throughout. Highly enjoyable, and a great realtive value for the money.

Not bad; if this was at the Shabbos table I would probably ask someone to pass it over. Don't know if I would nudge too hard, though.

This is much better than the 2001 vintage. Certainly not as smokey as their Merlot of the same year. It has a whiff of oak and a very slight tobacco taste. I give it a 91-92 out of 100. This is not a wine to keep for a long period of time. It has great legs and an inky black color. I suppose it could get better with age, although I doubt it.

Gorgeous, deep purple color, legs are the finest. Spectacular flavor and nice strong fermentation yielded a high alcohol content of over 14% Great with poultry, meat and fine cheeses. Loads of tannins, so it should age for a few years quite nicely.

This is a rich, full bodied wine. You can really taste the grapes. Unfortunately, it also has a slight acidic taste to it. But it is still very drinkable.

The color is deep ruby red. It has blackberry, cassis and plum aromas. It is quiet complex, whit a rich and long finish. I really enjoyed this wine with a ratatouille. I give it a 86 out of 100.

Galil Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2001 14% alcohol from the Galilee region of Israel. Dark blackberry color with a solid vanilla nose bursting with fruit. Soft, elegant, and smooth with no tannin. Silky, robust, and well rounded with little or no aftertaste. It needs plenty of time to breathe. It is a good wine, not great, and I thought the 2002 Merlot was much better. Drink it now as I doubt if it well get better with age. I give it a 75 out of 100.
