The Top 10 Kosher Wines

What was the best wine you drank this year? What was the best value? The most memorable? Or the most interesting? As 2009 approaches KosherWine.com is bringing you the top 10 kosher wines of 2008, with a twist. Unlike other “Top” lists where a select group of editors pick the wines, we’re letting you the consumer tell the world what the best wines were. We’re inviting wine drinkers the world over to vote wines into the Top 10 Wines of 2008. No one will know which wines will be in the Top 10 until all the votes are in. Which wines will you vote for? Here are some reasons we think you should consider taking the time to vote:

  • Be a part of kosher wine history by participating in this unprecedented event.
  • Send a message to the kosher wine industry about the types of wines you want to see more of.
  • Give thanks to the wineries you’ve enjoyed over the past year.

The Basics
Each person can vote for up to 3 different wines. The Top Wines of 2008 will be ranked based on the number of votes they receive, the #1 wine of the year receiving the most votes, the #2 wine the second most and so on. Voting runs from November 23rd to December 22nd. Any kosher wine available in the United States sometime during 2008 is eligible for the Top 10.

How To Vote
To vote, find the wine you wish to vote for on the website and click the “Add My Vote” button. This will take you to the voting page where you will submit your wine. The results will be announced in our weekly email on December 24th.

Write-In Votes
We have created a write-in page for submitting votes for wines that are not on the website. To help us ensure the accuracy of the voting, please use this page only for wines not listed on KosherWine.com. To be eligible for the Top 10 List wines must be kosher (note: many Israeli wineries are non-kosher), available for sale in the United States (sorry, this does not include direct shipments from wineries and retailers overseas) and because this is the Top Wines of 2008, please limit entries to vintages available for sale this year. If any of the wines you want to vote for is not on the website you may click here to submit a write-in.
