In crafting this fine Merlot, grapes grown in the unique climate of the Upper Galilee are harvested at peak ripeness. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in a mixture of French and American oak. The result is a wine with a ripe, peppery nose, and balanced by its rich body, deep flavor and color. Though drinkable now, this wine is sure to cellar well.

Really enjoyed this wine. The taste was interestingly different from the most merlots. It made the repurchase list.

This is a quality Merlot, nothing more and nothing less. By that I mean, it has a nice, deep color and strong nose, but it feels a bit hollow on the mid-palate, without much of a finish. Easy to drink, and easy to match with food, this wine is not bad, but nowhere near the wondeful Segal's Single Vineyard Dovev Merlot.

Beautiful deep purple color, rich aroma, strong (too strong?) Merlot flavor, long aftertaste of tannin. It's more balanced than the Herzog merlot but seems lacking in finesse. I'd rate it a bit higher than Jay's "basic" but he has a point.

My family recently purchased this wine for the first time and we absolutely loved it. It is well rounded and accessible to both the wine enthusiast and the "newbie" alike. I enthusiasticly recommend it as a decicious enhancement to your Shabbat table!

(The label says that it has a ripe peppery nose balanced by rich body, deep flavor and color) It has a very dark purpleish color and a good fruity nose. It is smooth with a hint of tannin, and needs time to breathe. A basic wine, I give it a 70 out of 100.
