Baron Herzog Cabernet Sauvignon is made by the Herzog Wine Cellars in Oxnard, California, founded in 1958. Joe Hurliman is the head winemaker and works at combining traditional winemaking with contemporary ideas and tastes. Baron Herzog Cabernet Sauvignon is produced using grapes grown in California's Central Coast regions of San Luis Obispo and Edna Valley. Each lot of wine was aged separately and all lots were blended before bottling. This is a very approachable Cabernet Sauvignon with berry aromas and impressive blackberry and spice flavors. The wine is only lightly filtered and may form sediment as it ages. Enjoy it with herb-rubbed rotisserie chicken, barbecued steaks, or hard cheese. This wine has won a Gold Medal at Critics Challenge. | Wine Information: Supervision Under Rabbi Weinberger,Rabbi Teichman Pairs well with steaks, beef, burgers - American Wine - Table Wine

A good Cabernet for its price. Definitely worth the extra two dollars to get this over other cheap wines.

This value-priced, mevushal, very pleasant 2012 vintage cab was produced predominantly from grapes grown in California’s Central Coast. Very fruity with blackberry, red cherry and mild spice flavors along with some accents of chocolate, tobacco and oak, it is a pleasant wine that would be worth purchasing in bulk.

Not the greatest Cabernet Saauvignon, but for its price, it stands up well. Not a bad bang for your buck.

Very light and fruity, almost not like a Cab, but more like a Merlot. Nevertheless, balanced and well made. Not the "ponder your navel" wine, but more a fun bottle to share with friends.

This is an excellent wine to pair with Tomato Sauce dishes. It has blackberry and raspberry aromas I think I even sensed some caramel. It is dry and very tasty.
