Chateau De Fieuzal is located in Pessac Leognan in the left bank of Bordeaux and it is a winery that is known for precision in their vinification. The 2005 vintage in Bordeaux was simply outstanding, at the time critics mused that it was the best vintage the region had seen in 30 some years. The Chateau De Fieuzal 2005 is incredible, when our team tasted this wine before making it available on our site the tasting panel tried it blindly along with 25 other aged wines - the 2005 Fieuzal was the unanimous favorite. Marvelous! This wine is well structured and shows a building complexity in the mouth while still maintaining a harmonious balance. The wine exhibits flavors that hit many different clusters on the tasting grid, from dried red fruits including raspberries and cherries to oak influences of vanilla and chocolate and tertiary aromas of forest floor and mushrooms. The texture is opulent and velvety with a lingering finish to be savored.
