Set in the heart of Galilee, Dalton Winery was founded in 1995 and has quickly flourished into one of Israel’s top family-run wineries thanks to a combination of exceptional terroir and winemaking expertise.

  • Canaan

These easy-going Mediterranean wines are made in a youthful fruity style which express the pure natural character of each grape variety.

  • Estate

Dalton’s Estate wines are crafted from carefully-managed vineyards which are farmed sustainably and with minimal intervention in the winemaking process to produce authentic Israeli wines from international grape varieties.

  • Alma

These wines capture the soul of Galilee with ripe fruity flavors, a silky smooth texture and gentle oaky hints from the 12 months of barrel ageing for the red wines. 

  • Reserve

Dalton’s Reserve wines are crafted from the winery’s prime vineyards and are aged in oak barrels for up to 18 months, creating complex, multi-layered wines which age well in the cellar.

  • Single Vineyard

Produced in tiny quantities each vintage, these premium wines represent the very best of Dalton with extended oak ageing of up to 20 months and remarkable flavor profiles which will continue to evolve with continued ageing.

How did Dalton start?

Dalton Winery was founded in 1995 by Mat and Alex Haruni. This father-son team who realised the exceptional viticultural potential of the Upper Galilee and were determined to pioneer a modern winery here which could produce authentic, hand-crafted wines with a distinctive Israeli flavor. 

What is Dalton most known for?

Although Dalton has grown over the years to become one of Israel’s most popular, the winery has retained its attention to detail and commitment to limited production quantities. The estate currently controls some 80 hectares of vineyards in Galilee which allows them to carefully select the finest fruit for their diverse range of different bottlings.

  • Dalton Canaan Red offers excellent value for money with plenty of ripe dark fruit flavors, soft tannins and a long finish.
  • Dalton Zinfandel is an opulent red wine with generous cassis and dark plum notes as well as hints of sweet spice from the one year of barrel ageing.
