Flam Reserve Syrah 2018

Description

This special reserve wine by Israeli winemaker Flam is made from Syrah grown in the Upper Galilee. The wine is initially aged 12 months in oak barrels then cellared for 10 months. The coloring is deep purple with a touch of lightness at the rim and is as brilliant as purple garnet. Great fresh fruity flavors fill the nose and smell like home made jams. Clean wood aromas and black pepper harmoniously blend with fragrant blackberries. Its a full bodied wine but it feels silky and is free from any heaviness. The wine has very little bite, with a lower acidity and and diminished tannins. The finish is soft but builds in a crescendo to give a very full and pleasant end. Its aging process makes this bottle ready to drink and highly enjoyable.
