Pinot Blanc is a unique grape variety to the Alsace region of France. Koenig, which was the first producer of kosher wines in France all the way back in the early 1960s, has been making varietally true Pinot Blanc for many years, with a typical, crisp, mineral and refreshing aromatic profile perfect to accompany white fish and dishes and salads. Pale yellow with light green reflections, showing on the nose subtle aromas of lime and citrus blossom, as well as dried flowers and hints of green foliage. Light to medium-bodied, expressive on the palate with lime, quince, green apple and underipe pears as well as a touch of green tea, lemon zest, pleasant grassy bitterness, with earthy minerals and medium-plus acidity, and a refreshing finish.
