Everything you need to know about Kosher Petite Sirah

How to Pronounce Petite Sirah: peh·teet sih·rah

What does Petite Sirah taste like typically?

Petite Sirah tends to produce deep, inky red wines with plenty of rich blackberry, cassis, and dark cherry character. These wines are usually full bodied with ample tannins, a well-developed structure, and hints of black pepper on the finish.

You would like Petite Sirah if you enjoy drinking big, full-bodied red wines with plenty of flavor. They make an excellent partner for red meat dishes like steak and barbecued ribs and are also ideal for sipping by the fireside in the winter months.

    Most Popular Kosher Petite Sirah

    • Dalton Estate Petite Sirah comes from one of Israel’s top wineries in the Galilee region where the Mediterranean climate produces a powerful red wine with plentiful tannins and dark berry notes.
    • Teperberg Legacy Petite Sirah is sourced from the Ayalon Valley in Israel. The young wine is matured in oak for 18 months which adds subtle sweet spice notes to the dark berry character.
    • Goblet Sonoma County Petite Sirah is a rich and spicy red crafted from top quality Sonoma fruit which is vinified at the Goblet winery in Brooklyn.

    Award-Winning Petite Sirah

    • Teperberg Legacy Petite Sirah 2016 was awarded 94 points by Decanter for its perfectly-balanced flavor profile which combines seductive dark fruit with hints of black pepper and spice.
    • Vitkin Petite Sirah 2016 was awarded 92 points by the Ultimate Wine Challenge and is made by one of Israel’s finest boutique wineries.
