Tura Winery

Tura Winery captures all of what makes modern Israeli winemaking special. Founded as a “family-run estate winery” in 2003 in the Shomron village of Rechelim, owners/winemakers Vered and Erez Ben Sa’adon gathered their life savings and bought a vineyard. At first they only sold their grapes, but by educating themselves in winemaking, they soon began to produce their own wine. Grapes are grown 850 meters above sea level on the heights of Har Brakha, named after the mountain mentioned in Deuteronomy upon which half of the twelve Tribes pronounced blessings. This special and rare terroir allows Tura to produce unique expressions of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Shiraz, Petit Verdot, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer and Viognier.

Mountain Vista Series

Comprised of the red blend Heartland, Pinot Noir, and the white varieties of Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer, as well as the Rosé, and priced to meet any budget while still maintaining Tura’s high standards.

Mountain Heights Series

The Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are aged for 22 months in French oak and are powerhouse wines. The Heights Series also features the Port-style Portura, a dessert wine created with late harvest grapes and 36 months of oak barrel aging.

Mountain Peak Series

Tura’s flagship wines, the award-winning Mountain Peak is a special red blend from the winery’s best vines, aged for 22 months in the winery’s best cellar barrels. This majestic wine could be saved for special occasions or with a beautiful dinner with loved ones.

What are Tura’s Origins?

In 1997, shortly after they were married, Erez and Vered Ben Sa’adon took their wedding gifts and savings and purchased land in the village of Bracha. Together with immediate family members, they were able to plant their first vines. In 2003, they produced their first four barrels of wine, created with love and excitement and by the hands of even the youngest family members. At first, the winery was named Erez (after its eponymous winemaker), but by 2005 was named Tura. Years later, the winery has greatly expanded and has achieved great success.

What is Tura most known for?

Tura is well-known for its rare terroir in the heights of Har Brakha, as well as the passion and purpose of its owners, Vered and Erez Ben Sa’adon, who have uniquely Israeli stories of family, generations, and faith.
