Complex, lovely and interesting with intense fruity and herbal notes; integrated yet forceful structure, with good acidity and mellow tannins; rewards patience, and time in the glass. Lovely and contemplative on its own, but craves a bit of flesh; great with hearty meat meals. Not too much of this was produced, so get while you can -- but enjoy unhurriedly.

I had to put a number on the wine, so I chose a neutral 3. As the winemaker, I just wanted to say that this wine has won medals in each competition it has been in so far (as of March 2, 2014)- a bronze in the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, and silvers in the Winemaker Challenge International Wine Competition and the West Coast Wine Competition.
