    Psagot

The award-winning Psagot Winery lies just to the north of Jerusalem in Binyamin, the ancient viticultural area where Abraham is said to have farmed and made wine thousands of years ago. The coin on their label is a replica of an actual coin discovered in an ancient wine press found on an excavation at Psagot’s vineyards.

    Psagot Sinai

Psagot Sinai is an entry level wine and has a phenomenal quality to price ratio. Smooth and well balanced, this red wine blend is an excellent wine to give as a gift for its drinkability and beautiful label.

    Single Vineyard

These exceptional wines (both mevushal and non-mevushal) are crafted from prime single vineyard plots and express the unique character of the Jerusalem Hills terroir.

    Edom

This intense and minerally wine gets its unique flavor profile from the mountainous terroir which overlooks the rugged Edom range. Psagot Edom also has a mevushal and non-mevushal version.

    M-Series

Psagot’s M-Series are the Mevushal counterparts to Psagot’s earlier wines. Despite the mevushal process, they are all wines which express the true character and vivacity of each particular grape variety.

    Psagot’s Awards:

    How did Psagot Start?

Founded in 2003 in Israel’s exceptional Binyamin wine region, Psagot is a thoroughly modern winery set in a landscape with an ancient tradition of viticulture. While the winery was being built a large cave was discovered on the property along with a coin dating back to the First Jewish–Roman War which took place from 66-73 CE. Today that ancient coin is the emblem of Psagot Winery and the cave is once more in use as a cellar to store precious barrels of wine.

What is Psagot most known for?

Psagot is today regarded as one of Israel’s top boutique kosher wineries thanks to its exceptional terroir and a talented winemaking team led by Yaakov Oryah and Joshua Hexter. The vineyards are primarily planted on chalky mountainous terraces at an altitude of 700-900 metres above sea level which helps to achieve optimum ripeness and plenty of freshness in the grapes at harvest.

    Most Popular Wines from Psagot

    • Psagot Sinai is Psagot’s entry level wine and by far their most widely sold wine. It’s aromas and flavors are lucious, yet not overly complex, making it a very appealing wine to a broad audience. It’s also a great quality wine for the price!

    • Psagot Cabernet Sauvignon is the winery’s flagship red wine and makes an excellent addition to any collector’s cellar thanks to its intense full-bodied and ageworthy character.

    • Psagot Edom is predominantly composed of Cabernet Sauvignon along with smaller proportions of other Bordeaux varietals which give the wine an opulent dark fruit profile with smooth tannins and a long finish.

    • Psagot Merlot is aged for 13 months in oak barrels to add subtle oaky hints to the luscious cassis, blackberry and dark cherry fruit flavours.

    • Psagot Rosé has a gorgeous pale pink hue and enticing aromas of strawberries, pomegranate and lemon zest which make it the ideal refresher on a hot day.
