Shiloh was founded in 2005 by self-taught winemaker Amichai Luria who was born in the U.S. but returned to Israel with his family at the age of four. By chance Luria met the Mexican businessman Mayer Choman at a social event at his house and impressed his guest with his very own Bordeaux-blend. The two went into business together and today have over 75 acres of vines planted at 600-900 metres of altitude in the Samarian Hills.

What is Shiloh most known for?

Shiloh Winery celebrates Israel’s ancient connection with winemaking. The local area is home to numerous ancient wine presses and vines that grew on the nearby Samarian Hills thousands of years ago.
