Shiloh Winery's hand crafted mevushal wines, are some of the best ever made. Historically, the biblical city of Shiloh was the religious capital of Israel for 300 years before the first Temple was built in Jerusalem. At one point, it was the center of Israelite worship. Today, Shiloh’s mountainous geography and warm, arid climate makes it so well-suited for vineyards. Around 800 meters above sea level, the rich sedimentary fragments of limestone and clay found in Shiloh’s soil makes it perfect for grape growing, a fact reflected in the large number of biblical-age era winepresses found around the region to this day. Then, as now, Shiloh wine was and remains among the highest quality in the world.
