This Israeli winery has stood the test of time, established in 1848 by the Shor family, it originally operated out of the Old City in Jerusalem. Now in its 9th generation, the 1848 winery produces quality wines across different price ranges under the supervision of Badatz Eida Chareidis (as well as the OU and Badatz Beit Yosef).

Their wines are named to pay hommage to their family legacy and endurance in Israeli winemaking. The Generations series Red and White are their entry level wines. The 2nd Generation wine series is their most popular series, focused on more familiar varietals like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, these wines are well priced and offer good value. The 5th and 7th Generation series showcase their exceptional winemaking ability across different varietals. On the high end they have their Reserve series with the Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and Reserve Merlot.
