Beit El
Grown on the sacred ground where Jacob is said to have dreamed of angels, Beit El is a family-run boutique winery inspired by the historic viticultural traditions of this biblical land. Founded by Hillel and Nina Manne in 2001, the estate is blessed with mineral-rich terra rossa or “red earth” soils and high altitude plots planted on the ancient hillside terraces.

How did Beit El Start?
In 1996 Hillel and Nina Manne moved to Beit-El and were struck by the beauty of this ancient viticultural land. Hillel’s agricultural studies at the famous UC Davis told him that this terroir was ideal for producing top quality wines thanks to the unique terra rossa soils and warm summer days balanced by cooler nights thanks to the 800-900 metres of altitude.
What is Beit El most known for?
Today Beit-El has a reputation as one of Israel’s most exciting boutique wineries thanks to the exceptional quality of the terroir and visionary winemaking. Manne has partnered with consulting winemaker Lewis Pasco who previously worked for both Recanati and Tishbi to help him craft excellent Mediterraean-style wines inspired by the ancient landscape.

- Beit El Revelation Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, one of Manne’s top wines, is crafted from the estate’s finest fruit and matured in small French oak barrels for 20 months to produce an incredibly complex red that will age gracefully for years to come.
