The Chateau Leoville is Cabernet Sauvignon heavy, with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and a touch of Petit Verdot. This wine is full-bodied, rich and complex and will benefit from long term aging. The wine opens with an earthy tone, tar, herbs, smoke and minerality. Expect big tannins and red and black fruit, plum, blackberry, raspberry and backing spice, leading to a long finish.
