    Sangiovese hails from Italy where it typically produces medium-bodied red wines with plenty of freshness and gentle tannins. The flavor profile includes notes of red cherry, plum, violets, and baked earth. Sangiovese wines made outside of Italy often have richer, more intense fruity notes.

    You would like Sangiovese if you enjoy elegant, well-balanced red wines which combine well with classic tomato-based Italian dishes like fresh pasta served with a rich ragu sauce or pizza.
