    How did Morad start?

    Founded by husband-and-wife team Eti and Jacob Morad in 1999, the idea for Morad winery came out of Jacob’s first meeting with Eti’s father who served him some pumpkin wine. Although Jacob was already a winemaker, he was amazed by this new concept and began studying how to make exceptional wines from local fruits and vegetables. In 2008 the couple were joined in the business by the Bodner family who have helped to expand the operation.

    One of only 10 Israeli wineries crafting non-grape based wines, Morad has built a solid reputation for delicious sweet kosher wines made from exotic local ingredients like lychee, passion fruit and pomegranate.
