The Maison Aegerter, located in Nuit-Saint-Georges, Côte-d’Or, is thriving in a region known for both its traditions and its innovations. The Aegerters believe that nature cannot be hurried. All the vintages, from the most accessible to the most exceptional, have one thing in common: they are the outcome of a resolutely modern vision and dynamic. The best of Burgundy’s terroirs is well worth it. Pommard is renowned for its power, the vines are planted in the middle and at the top of the hillsides on clay-limestone soils. Deep red to dark purple ruby in color, this wine reveals aromas of berries, tart cherry and ripe plum. The mouth on this medium-plus bodied wine offers mixed berries, smoke, and inviting floral notes. On the palate is has a round texture, a delicate, firm structure and lingering finish. Suitable for aging and will improve with proper cellaring.
