Saint Emillion sits on the right bank of Bordeaux and is home to the Merlot grape. The cooler climate and clay soils are perfect for the Merlot grape and produces wines that are exquisite in their combination of fruit and earth flavors. This Bordeaux blend from Chateau Montroc offers an enjoyable wine with a strong mid-palate, smooth silky tannins, medium plus acid, and a lingering finish. This wine can age gracefully for 7-8 years from vintage. This wine may be enjoyed with veal stew, duck and lamb shanks.
