The Elvi Herenza Rioja Gran Reserva is the first-ever Kosher Gran Reserva. This 2019 vintage is the 2nd release (following the 2010 vintage) and is made with 100% Tempranillo grapes. The grapes were harvested by hand, and sorted with only the best berries selected for pressing. Aged for two and a half years in selected American oak barrels and then another two and a half years in the bottle before release. This wine displays complex notes of dark cherry, leather, baking spice, with hints of chocolate and tobacco. Medium bodied, silky and polished tannins, pleasant acidity and a long finish. Approachable upon release and will continue to develop with time, and can age gracefully for another 10+ years.
