Lewis Pasco The Pasco Project Winemaker's Choice 2021

The 2019 Pasco Project Winemaker's Blend presents Pasco's first production of a Marselan varietal based wine. The succulent fruity nature of the Marselan grape with higher acid and low tannin profile is ideal for the production of a decidely European aroma and flavor profile. Reminiscent of the elegant medium bodied red wines of central and northern Italy. This wine paries well with a diverse range of dishes from classical elegant pastas like fettuccine alfredo and lasagne to rich succulent roasts like lamb. The resulting wine has a classic "European" mouthfeel and length. Enjoyable at present, the wine will continue to gain complexity, smoother mid-palate flavors and a longer after taste with extended bottle aging.
