Pinto Holot Red 2023

Incredible body and richness, yet already balanced, tannins already very round. Great acidity and spice allow for a never-ending finish. Powerful and complex aromas of ripe black fruit, dried herbs and spices, coffee and dark chocolate. A blend of Bordeaux varieties, but featuring the desert’s strong varieties – mostly Malbec, Merlot and Petit Verdot. After diluting fruit on the vines, we received grapes of remarkable concentration and quality. The result is a ‘big’ wine, which will age beautifully for years to come, and develop complexity and character. The wine was aged for over 12 months in oak barrels. Gives us a glimpse on the potential for great reds from the desert. HOLOT is a series of blends from varieties identified as best performers in the desert terroir. It is a result of meticulous care, from the vineyard – through the winemaking process. Holot Red is a blend of Malbec, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, all growing here in the desert.
