The Terra di Seta Assai Chianti Classico, made from 100% Sangiovese grapes in Tuscany, Italy has a pretty unique, cloudy medium purple, color. It's a very nice looking color with the rim looking almost both lighter than the middle but also bricker than the middle. It has a yummy earthy aroma, smelling of clean earth. There are definitely some red fruits present, like strawberries, cherries and maybe some red currants and a hint of licorice, but the earthiness is first. There may be a bit of gameyness, but it all melds together well. The Chianti has a fully integrated smell that flows wonderfully. After tasting you get the medium to full bodied taste with more red fruits in the mouth. This wine is super balanced with great acid and great tannins and it finishes as an overall excellent wine.
