Tzora Judean Hills represents the local Terroir of the Vineyards in Judean Hills. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels helps to give the wine it's medium to dark purple color, that's really showing its age, which is a bit brighter at the rim. This wine is an interesting combo of grape, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Petit Verdot, grown on old terraces with top-soil of limestone rich in minerals. The nose is wonderful, clean and exciting, The aroma is mostly black fruit like fresh blackberries, and pepper, freshly ground pepper, from the syrah. There is barely any oak, just a really nice combo of fruit and spice. The wine is silky and big in the mouth. The acid and tannins actually hit you right away. But the syrah reigns in the palate with peppers coating the mouth. The finish is thorough and it lingers with some leather and cocoa.
