Covenant's venture into Viognier began in Israel's Galilee in 2017 with the BLUE C label, sparking curiosity about the potential of a Californian counterpart.
This particular Viognier originates from a select section within the Mettler Vineyard, with its grapes being some of the earliest picked in the season on September 5. As a result, RED C Viognier proudly stands as our first offering from this year's harvest. Its fermentation process involves neutral French oak barrels and native yeasts, preserving the grape's natural essence.
Characterized by its slightly exotic and spicy profile, the RED C Viognier dazzles with nuances of orange peel and menthol. The palate is treated to a rich tapestry of stone fruits, including peach and loquat, all while maintaining a vibrant, citrusy undertone.
