Shipping Policy



How long will it take to get my order?
We know you are eager to get your wine so we try and make sure to fill your order as soon as we can. We strive to ship all order within two business days. At peak times (such as before the holidays) it can longer for the order to leave our warehouse.
Once we have packed your order, we hand it off to the friendly UPS guy. His name is Matt and he's on board with our mission of getting you your wine quickly and safely. With the exception of inclement weather and certain Federal Holidays, Matt collects and delivers wine from Monday to Friday.

Which days could add to my shipping time?
Our office is closed on these Federal Holidays:

New Year's Day
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day

We also honor these Jewish dates by closing the office:

Rosh Hashanah
Yom Kippur
Sukkot (first and last days of the holiday)
Purim
Passover (first and last days of the holiday)
Shavuot
These days may require an extra day or two for your order to reach you, but we've got you covered! Just tell us that you want to be reminded of our shipping deadlines before significant dates (for example Passover or Rosh Hashanah) by joining our email notification list.

But I really need my wine quicker...
We get it! We offer free ground shipping on every full case but you can expedite shipping if you would like you order to arrive sooner.
If there's a real rush and you're concerned about the two full business days we need to fulfil orders, reach out to us by phone, email or Twitter and we'll see what we can do for you.

What if something is out of stock?
If this happens then we’ll notify you and offer a similar wine as a replacement. We suggest you reply to us quickly so we can keep getting your order out the door quickly.

Can you ship to a PO Box address?
No, we can only deliver to a street address.

Can you ship my wine to Hawaii? How about Alaska?
We absolutely can ship to Hawaii and Alaska but we're not able to offer free shipping to these locations. Cost will vary based on the size of your order.

Why can't you ship to my state?
Regulations and laws are in place that limit our ability to ship to UT, NH and ND. We're working on solutions that will enable us to ship to more states but in some places, the limitations are local law and therefore, are out of our control.

Do I need to be home to get my order?
We're shipping wine, so most states do require an adult over the age of 21 to show their ID and/or sign for your order. We recommend signing up for UPS My Choice so you can check the estimated arrival of your order or even make changes to the delivery address once it's shipped.
If you are not home to receive your order, UPS will leave a note on your door and make two attempts to deliver, after which your wine will be returned to us. You may be responsible for the cost of re-shipping of orders that are returned.

Will my wine spoil? Or freeze?
We monitor the weather closely because we don't want your wine to get damaged en route. If we think it's not safe to ship your wine, we'll hold it at our warehouse until it's safe to do so. This is usually just an extra day or two. We will always notify you if we need to do this.

Can You Deliver on Saturday or Sunday?
Unfortunately not. At this time, wine can only be delivered from Monday to Friday.

Can I change the address my wine is being shipped to?
Let us know as soon as possible, we may be able to change the address when the wine in en route, but please note that a fee may apply.

We make no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import alcoholic beverages into any state outside of WASHINGTON,DC. The buyer is solely responsible for shipment of wines. By placing this order with your credit card, check, or cash, you authorize us to act on your behalf in processing and shipping this order, including engaging in a common carrier to deliver your order. Under the terms of sale, the common carrier is acting as your agent. WINES MAY BE SOLD AND DELIVERED ONLY TO PERSONS WHO ARE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD AND THE PERSON TO WHOM DELIVERY WILL BE MADE IS AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD. When your alcoholic beverages are delivered the person receiving delivery will be required to show identification proving that he or she is at least 21 years old. Due to our policy of not shipping alcohol to minors, please be advised that WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ORDERS FOR ANY REASON WITHOUT EXPLANATION. Thank you for your understanding.
