kosherwine.com offers a wide selection of Binyamina Wine, Israel’s fourth largest winery. The story of Binyamina wine dates back nearly as far as the modern state of Israel itself, with Joseph Zeltzer producing the first bottles from vineyards around the Binyamina area in the early 1950’s. Decades later, Binyamina wine is synonymous with Israeli wine culture, diversity, and quality across all its varietals. In recent years, Binyamina wine has been recognized in France and throughout the world as a top winemaker worthy of a place at your table. Read more about Binyamina in our discover section.
One of Israel’s most successful modern wineries, Binyamina was founded in the 1950s and sources top quality grapes from across Israel which are vinified in an old perfume factory established by Baron Benjamin de Rothschild in 1925.
Taking their name from the Australian tradition of labelling barrels, these delicious wines are crafted with minimal intervention and extended cellar ageing to produce rich, multi-layered wines ideal for sharing around the dinner table.
These premium single varietal wines show off Israel’s huge potential for winemaking excellence, featuring everything from crisp Gewurztraminer from the foot of Mt Tabor in Galilee to opulent Cabernet Sauvignon from the Golan Heights and Upper Galilee.
This iconic and ageworthy Binyamina wine is crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and a dash of Petit Verdot from prime vineyards in the Upper Galilee and matures in oak barrels for 24 months to add polish and extra complexity.
Inspired by the jewels that adorned the breastplates of the High Priests, this flagship Binyamina collection showcases the winery’s finest terroirs and exceptional talents of the winemaking team.
Meaning “farmer” in Hebrew, these wines celebrate Binyamina’s true heroes, the grape growers whose family roots run deep into the Israeli soil and enable the winery to create these richly-flavored and complex wines.
This very special collection honors the 70th anniversary of the State of Israel and also the 95th birthday of the Binyamina settlement.
These juicy, easy-going wines are bursting with ripe fruit flavors and are perfect to open at casual gatherings or on quiet weeknights.
Protected from light damage by the gorgeous blue-hued glass bottles, this visionary collection features two semi-dry white wines which are bursting with enticing aromatics and delicious mouthwatering freshness.
Binyamina was founded in 1952 by winemaker Joseph Zeltzer who had left his native Hungary to build a new life in Israel. He initially named the estate after his son, Eliaz, who was lost during the nation’s 1948 War of Independence. The winery’s headquarters were established in Binyamina’s old perfume factory founded by Baron Benjamin de Rothschild in 1925. Binyamina’s modern history dates from the 1990s when new owners invested heavily in the winery and cemented its role as a leader and pioneer in the Israeli wine industry.
Over the past couple of decades significant investment in Binyamina’s infrastructure, equipment and vineyards has dramatically improved quality. Today the winery ranks among Israel’s finest thanks to their commitment to sourcing the very best fruit possible from across the country’s top wine regions. This, combined with their cutting-edge winemaking equipment and prime barrels, allows Binyamina to produce a treasure trove of unique Israeli wines to suit all palates.
