What does Viognier taste like typically?
Viognier is traditionally found in France’s northern Rhone Valley where it produces generous medium and full-bodied wines with a creamy texture and intense tropical fruit and stone fruit notes. It is often aged in oak barrels for a short time to accentuate the smoky, honeyed character of the variety.
You would like Viognier if you enjoy drinking bold white wines with a smooth, well-rounded mouthfeel. The well-developed structure and intense flavor profile of Viognier make it an excellent gastronomic wine with an affinity for creamy chicken and pasta dishes.
