Mia Luce Blanc 2020 is a blend of French Colombard (93%) and Sauvignon Blanc(7%), nurtured and cultivated in carefully chosen Galilee plots where the mature vines grow on Limestone and Terra Rossa soil. Both grape varieties were harvested in July 2019 and fermented separately in low temperature in order to preserve the aromas, finesse, unique character and oenologist style. The Sauvignon Blanc grapes fermented as whole clusters in order to enhance the floral aromas in the wine. Following separate fermentations, the varieties were blended and aged in Austrian and German oak barrels, with some held in a stainless steel tank. The wine from the stainless steel tank formed an important part of the final blend and maintained its crisp, citrus fruit character. The mere 11.5% alcohol ratio level conveys a clear oenologist style aspiring to express the terroir, variety characteristics and freshness of the wine, with true elegance, balance, and food-wine harmony.
