Morad Winery at the foot of Israel’s Carmel Mountains specialises in making delicious sweet kosher wines from the bounty of their fertile land. Their diverse portfolio includes wines crafted from fruits, vegetables and herbs by their Head Winemaker, Yaakov Morad, at their purpose-built winery in Yokneam. Their most popular wines include their best-selling exotic Passion Fruit and Lychee wines as well as their exceptional sweet and sour Pomegranate wine.
Founded by husband-and-wife team Eti and Jacob Morad in 1999, the idea for Morad winery came out of Jacob’s first meeting with Eti’s father who served him some pumpkin wine. Although Jacob was already a winemaker, he was amazed by this new concept and began studying how to make exceptional wines from local fruits and vegetables. In 2008 the couple were joined in the business by the Bodner family who have helped to expand the operation.
One of only 10 Israeli wineries crafting non-grape based wines, Morad has built a solid reputation for delicious sweet kosher wines made from exotic local ingredients like lychee, passion fruit and pomegranate. Thanks to the generous sweetness, they are ideal to enjoy with or instead of dessert and can also be mixed into a whole range of cocktails.
