Founded in 1870 by Austrian immigrant Avraham Teperberg and his son, Zeev Zaid Teperberg, in the Old City of Jerusalem, Teperberg is Israel’s oldest winery. In 2006 the fifth generation of the family, Motti Teperberg, oversaw the winery’s relocation to its present location opposite Kibbutz Tzora in the Judean Hills.
Teperberg is one of Israel’s most popular wineries today thanks to its diverse portfolio which includes everything from opulent and extremely ageworthy reds to light, easy-going Moscato ideal for hot summer days. Under the visionary leadership of Motti Teperberg the winery is pushing the boundaries for modern Israeli kosher wine by exploring new regions and experimenting with old Israeli grape varieties.
