Description

The Reserve Chambourcin is complex and structured, spicy and full of dark red fruit flavors. The last harvest by Pinnacle Ridge Winery yielded this Chambourcin grown atop the slope at their famed vineyard in Berks County, PA. Barrel aged 8 months with a mix of 50% Hungarian, 25% French, and 25% American oak. Black cherry, plum, and herbaceous notes with a hint of dark chocolate. Aromas of earth, tobacco, and vanilla. This supple wine can stand up to hearty dishes with meat and red sauces. Ample acidity and soft tannins allow for pairing with rich soft cheeses. The classic pairing with Chambourcin: chocolate.
